Opening times

The Musée de l'Armée is open every day of the year, from 10am to 6pm.
 
Closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.
 
Late-night opening until 9 pm on Tuesdays, during temporary exhibition periods.
The following are open late: the temporary exhibition, the Historial Charles de Gaulle, the extraordinary cabinets, the Louis XIV-Napoleon trail and the Dôme des Invalides (tomb of Napoleon I).
 
The tills close 30 minutes before the Museum closes.

Following government directives taken in response to the COVID-19 epidemic, the Army museum will stay closed until further notice. All events, visits and concerts scheduled until June 2020 are canceled or postponed to a later date.

You will find below the practical terms of exchange or refund.

However, more than ever, your support and your trust will be precious to us today. In order to support the Museum until its reopening, you canchange your admission ticket or your concert ticket to a donation which gives you a tax deduction from your income (66% deduction from income tax for individuals and 75% from property wealth tax). If you have bought an admission ticket for a day when the Army museum is exceptionally closed, you can extend the validity date of your ticket until January 31, 2021 by addressing your request to webmaster@musee-armee.fr

If you have a ticket for a concert or a pedagogical activity (visits, workshops), you can contact us in order to get a credit or a new date, at the following addresses:

Admission fees

The Museum admission ticket gives access to the permanent collections, the Dome Church, Tomb of Napoleon I, and the current temporary exhibition, along with the Museum of the Order of the Liberation and the Museum of Relief Maps.

Conditions of free and discounted admission

Visitors entitled to free admission to the Museum must collect a ticket at the tills, even if they are accompanying visitors who hold cards or tickets giving them direct access to the Museum.

Young people aged 18 to 25 and visitors holding the Pass Education

Young people aged 18 to 25 who are nationals or residents of the European Union and visitors holding the Pass Education are entitled to free access to the permanent collections and the Dome Church, Tomb of Napoleon I, along with the Museum of the Order of the Liberation and the Museum of Relief Maps. To visit the temporary exhibition, they will have to buy a ticket at a price of €5.

Paris Museum Pass

The PARIS MUSEUM PASS offers free, unlimited queue jump access to all areas of the Musée de l’Armée (including temporary exhibitions) as well as over 60 other museums and monuments in Paris and the Paris region.

The digital guide

The digital visitors' guide is unavailable at the moment, as the service is being completely redesigned with the aim of offering you an even richer experience.

From April 2019 onwards, you will be able to enjoy a new version of the guide, including a trail devoted to the Museum's essential exhibits, available in several languages, along with a guided tour of the current temporary exhibition.

En application des directives gouvernementales, le Musée est fermé à partir du samedi 14 mars 2020, et jusqu'à nouvel ordre. Due to covid-19 crisis, the Museum will be closed from saturday, march 14th until reopening order.
